My year in Germany has ended now and I moved to Pori. Hmm. Where should I start?


Main reason, why I havent written, is that my laptop is  broken and my PC is not available now. I flew back to Finland because of Nordic champs on 20th of April and I needed to go directly to see my parents because I had one meeting and Job interview in west cost of Finland. On Thursday morning I had this interview. I had actually two of them because same department was looking for three people in different jobs. So at first I spent one hour in one part and then 20 minutes in another. After 15 minutes the second guy (who is now my boss) said that if I want I can get that place. I was shocked because it was my dream job! Some pics from my new working room :

So I was very satisfied when I start my trip to Helsinki. I went there already on Thursday coz we had flight on Friday morning. I went to train there too.  I visited first time in Malmi, where Tapanilan Erä´s lifters train. After that I went to have some dinner with my friend. We drove through Rouhuvuori, which is one of the worst quarters in Finland. It was so weird to see such and terrible houses and places here, in our beautiful Finland! And because there was still snow, the landscape was very grey….


So on Friday I was waiting for our team members in Helsinki-Vantaa airport. All of us were there on time but some of us have forgotten their passport so I tried to help them to get new ones. They needed to drive back to Pasila but they manage to book new flights. We flew to Norrköping where we took a train and travelled to Nässjö. It was a little town near Linköping and Jönköping.

I competed on Saturday morning. I couldnt sleep so well as I wanted so my legs felt very tired.. I decided to be there under 72 kilos so I didnt need to drop any weight. I ate breakfast and went to scale. I gave those starters which I have decided to do and I started to stress a bit. Thank God I got my own Helper there. Damir Trokic promised to help me because we had so many sub juniors lifting in second group… Everything went well and I started with 190. I was terrified and too scared to squat with speed but it was a good lift. Then 195 and it was good lift too. Then I tried to squat 200. Damir tied my wraps very tight and I manage to squat 200. But it wasn´t deep enough :( First time I had 200kg on the bar in competition!! In BP I noticed it was my day. Everything felt very light and 120 kg with my first attemp was a good lift. Then I tried 127,5 kg and I manage to lift it but 2-1 no lift. SCHADE! I tried 130 with my last one but I droped it… In deadlift I started with 185,5 coz I only wanted to do more than 500 total. It was my first goal. Then 195 with my second and it was very easy lift too. 202,5 was my last attemp but it was still too much for me…

In conclusion 510kg total with 65,7 body weight is not bad at all.. But in europeans and Worlds I will need those 9 lifts in competitions… I was best junior lifter there with my 531+something wilks points.

Because I got that job I needed to move to Pori. YIPPII. I like Pori. Pori is small city (83 000 inhabitans) and I have lived there before. There are plenty of my old friends and I am so pleased to start train in Sport Gym now. There is great atmosphere so I am pretty sure I will enjoy my trainings there.

After Nordics I needed to stay in Tampere because we have Herwood Strong man competition. I promised to cook some dinner for our after party. It was nice to see all my friends and the night was great. Only problem was that Ossi pushed me into the pool 2 hours before we left to a night club. :) But it was my own fault.. I deserved that.

On Friday I flew back to Germany, coz my clothes and other stuff were still there. Jaakko,  my racer firend , promised to drove my motorcycle to Finland because I realized that I don´t manage to drive it to Finland before my work will start. Jaakko heard about it and said he can drive it. I was back in Stuttgart on Friday night.

On saturday we have our Farewell Party.. I will add some pics as soon as Sini will sent them to me. Hmm. On Monday I just packed my bags and on Tuesday I flew back to Finland. Last time.

I have new apartment in Finland now, I will continue  my trainings now and I need to start concentrate on them more… After my competitions I was a bit sick so I didnt train so much. Hmm. Maybe I add now all my trainings.

I also worked whole weekend in Helsinki and here is some pics taken on Sunday 5:30 am. My battery ran out so I couldnt take more. I will do it nexe weekend, because the late on the mornings is awesome!

I will stop now and wrote on Monday about my this week. I will tell you more about my new deal with Luonnonhelma, My new records in squat and BP and about my Summer.
