I did it! Hihii! I managed to get onto the third place in Mariupol! We left on Monday with Petteri. The trip to Mariupol lasted 5 hours with a two-hour stop in Kiev. But then our difficulties started. Mervi sent me a message already in the morning that there might be some problems with hotels. Team Finland managed to change their because the first one was a nightmare. I was not there but Sanna showed some pictures and they tell me some stories about it…Like I said team Finland changed a hotel before I was in Ukraine and they took a room to me and Petteri too.

We jumped to a bus and when we were almost there I asked our guides to leave us to Drusba. They said that it’s not possible and we would have to go somewhere else. Even trying to explain that we had our rooms already booked didn’t help.

We were in the middle of nowhere and no one didn’t want to orded a taxi for us. I tried to tell the lady in the reception that were in a wrong hotel. Only thing she answered was : You cannot get a taxi and the only place you will get a drive to is the airport.

I was confused. We waited there for two hours and at 03:00 am the woman realized that they didn’t have keys for us (because we needed to be in a different hotel…..) . She was sorry about her behaviour before and promise to drop us to the Dursba. Finally we managed to find our hotel rooms at 04 am.

Our hotel was ok, and on Tuesday it was time for the first Finnish lifters. Sanna and Mervi lifted and I went to watch the competition with Petteri. Sanna became second (yippee! ) and Mervi was fourth. Pretty well done girls!

The competition venue was very very hot. There was more than + 30 degrees in the warming-up area.. Huh! But maybe the worst thing were the toilets.

There were only holes in the floor. Creepy… I visited there once… Not anymore for me thanks.

On wednesday was my time. There will be a video in the end. Summa summarum I am happy because I have trained for only 2,5 months. Now I will concentrate on Raw Cup and after that Puerto Rico! :)

After my competition was Petteris turn to jump on the stage. I watched Petteri’s lifts and then was the time for dinner. Unfortunately all restaurants were closed so we went to Mc Donald’s :(

’On Thursday there were no Finnish lifters so thatwas THE shopping and beach day. Sun Sun Sun. I can say that eventhough we had some problems in the beggining, I loved the weather in Ukraine and people were very friendly to us!

I needed to study swedish the whole week and beach was a great place to do it!

After we were tanned it was time to watch competitions and go eating. Our guide gave us some tips where to find good places to eat. The place was fine and we had a nice time there with Team Finland.

Friday was shopping and beach day too. I found new jeans, shoes, shorts and some souveniers.  I will add pictures later.

Friday was Sami´s lifting day. After it we went to eat with Mepa and some Danish lifters. Skone ordered some sushis to us. It was so tasteful! I will try to do then by myself as soon as I have time :)

On Friday I managed to go dance. There were some Brits and us in a night club on the beach. Thanks for the company Tony, Ben and Jazz! (Oh I love that name.. I want to be Jazz too! ( It might be written Jas. :) ) )

Kenta lifted on Saturday and after Kenta’s great competition was the banquet. It was nice and food was ok. We ate a lot and I danced a lot :) Of course I danced with Carl Yngvar – it is a tradition! All Norwegian lifter were dancing around the banguet area :) Eventhought I was quite tired the good sprit came to me too and it was nice time in the banquet.

We slept only one hour and then our bus came to take us to the airport. I was so tired!

In conclusion I was surprised. Ukraine was place where I enjoyed my time eventhough there were some difficulties too.  And like I said I hope I can visit there again and maybe see another cities too!

I have made some decisions but I write more about them later. This week I need to study and train hard. So I will be back in business again :)

But now I need to go to study. I have an exam tomorrow… Huh.
