I haven’t got time to write – sorry about that…
Johanna Kankus was lifting on Thursday. Her competition wasn’t so successful and unfortunately she missed in the bench. In conclusion, the result of our team of female lifters was pretty crappy because normally Team Finland has been the second or third best team.
Me and Jossu took a taxi and visited Olympia. It is a shopping center in Pilsen but I did not find anything special there, just one top and one shirt. Johanna and the other girls were talking about going to the Pub so we needed to hurry because choosing clothes isn’t so a quick job.
In the pub people have tap in their own table and on the screens you can see a calculation on how much your group has been drinking beer. There are many the Pubs in Czech Republic as well as in Germany and on the screen you can also see your “result” compared to the Pubs in other countries. We were table number 12.
Jossu left on Friday and I moved to another room. We had a suite and because Mepsu left on Friday too I went to the suite with Johanna and Mepa. Nothing special happened on Friday or Saturday. We ate, watched competitions and hung around. I will add some pictures because they are much more interesting.
On Sunday it was nice to see the super heavy guys lifting. They made awesome results and the last deadlift 397,5 kgs was a great ending to Worlds.
Banquet was in the evening and Kenneth Sandvik was selected to the Hall of Fame. It was a great day for Kenta but also a great day for Finland. It makes me think how many years, how many working hours and how much competition succees and failures you need to face if you want to be something. I have been lifting now for three years so I should not be so tough on myself – I need time and hard work.
We danced a bit there too and of course I needed to take plenty of pictures, which are telling more than 10000 words.
Now I am finally in Finland and I felt a bit empty. It is the first time for 2 years I do not have a training program and I need to try to concentrate on my studies a bit. I will start working in Stuttgart in February and I need to move to Helsinki in the end of the month. Huge changes are coming and they will take plenty of my time. Just as my leg operation which will force me to stop squatting and deadlifting for a while. But always is a chance to bench!

Ps. You should go check this out. Even if there are some people talking shit about taking drugs and my masculine looks, there are still those who trust me. People should understand how much work and time every kilo in the bar takes. But hey! I am proud of me! Someone is reading my blog and checking out my videos! :)
Hey Anni!
Nice meeting you in Plzen…it´s a pretty nice blog you have here :)
I hope that your operation goes as planned and that you are back training again in no time…
All the best
– Mathias, Denmark
Ps. about your so called ”masculine look”. I have to disagree with those who think that. You look very nice, so dont bother thinking about other peoples opinions. Chances are that they are just jealous of your accomplishments.
Hey Mathias! We have *Raw competitions coming again here in Tampere. Maybe you should take part in that ? :) how is your life?
